On Tuesday 28th me and Helena went to a meet up with a group that sketches different places in Portsmouth every Tuesday. They are called Urban Sketchers Portsmouth and it is mostly middle-aged and older people. We met up with them in Milton Park (which I had never been to before) and once everyone was there we all split up and found different spots to draw. Me, Helena and an older woman all sat down to draw the nearby play park, as I loved the amount of people and colourful metals of the swings and climbing frames. It was a really great experience, as talking to older people is really lovely because they have so much knowledge and are very chatty.
Everyone met up at 1pm and put all of there drawings on the ground so that we could share our work, and then there was a group photo with everyone holding there drawings.
It was really fun and I don't draw environments a lot so it was a good exercise.
