I bought some red and green inks to experiment with. I thought I might layer them over parts of my illustrations to add some colour but I didn't end up liking that. But, I thought I could use them for the middle double page which would be about zombie ant fungi.
I had the idea to make the middle page a completely different style, so that I could experiment with other mediums and show case my of my skills as an illustrator. So I settled on layering inks and collaging them together on photoshop. I think the inks work well in giving the page a nature/organic vibe. And I ended up sticking with green because green and red give Christmas instead (which is not what I want).
